Does Your Brand Meet The 3C’s Test?

Your brand symbolises everything that your business stands for. It is the foundation for all of your sales and marketing communications. Its purpose is to;

Deliver your message
Confirm your expertise and credentials
Create emotional connections with your target market
Reduce risks
Encourage sales
Build trust and loyalty

And to do this, you need to invest in your brand’s design, so it is capable of capturing the attention and leaving a lasting impression on your target audience. It’s also worth remembering that often customers are willing to pay more for products and services that look better!

How can you spot a good brand?

Regardless of whether it’s offline (brochure) or on online (website), to stand out from the crowd your brand design needs to make use of the 3C’s:

Clever – evolve with the changing landscape and be ahead of the curve incorporating unique ideas that challenge preconceptions, asks questions and encourages people to think.
Creative – deliver identity and share information in an impactful way that facilitates engagement, develops relationships and makes your audience feel good.
Consistent – has the same (or similar) messaging, tone of voice, style, colour and logo wherever and however your brand is accessed.

Did you know?

A robust brand creates greater recognition, loyalty and value for your business and its customers. Recent studies have shown that there is a link between having a clever, creative and consistent brand with enhanced business performance. And many top performing brands in the UK have been able to successfully translate these attributes into an increase in business value and growth.

GDPR Will Affect Us All – It’s Coming Soon

We like to keep things light-hearted here at Oxygen but we need to get serious.
The Law is changing!

It not only affects our business it will affect your business too! It’s not a Law that is just for those big corporations either we’re afraid.

We’ll try and do our best to make this clear to understand, it certainly gave us a sore head working it all out.

GDPR – Whats the Fuss All About?

If you use email marketing, send direct mail or make sales calls this will affect you! The law is changing what you can and can’t do.

This all comes into play 25th May 2018 General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

It may be easy to say “I’ll worry about it later”  The new GDPR law is a complex and extensive law. Here is some advice we’ve been able to put together that will help you comply with the new changes.

It’s easy to think you don’t collect data but if you’re using any tracking tools like Google Analytics on your website you are. This can include anything from individuals IP addresses or a simple contact form.

People have a right to know what personal information you’re storing about them and what data you might have.

Privacy Policy

If your site doesn’t have one it needs one to comply. It needs to tell people what you’re going to do with the data. We can provide templates for you to edit your business and remove the parts that aren’t applicable.  We can add a Privacy Policy page, starting

Good things happen when people get together! – Event the right way!

Most of us sell to other people. More than ever, we have to create experiences for our customers. To give them what they can’t get online.

Exhibitions are great for finding new customers and expo season starts in September. But why wait ‘til then?

The comfort zone, It’s a beautiful place. But nothing grows there.

If you want to get extraordinary results, you’ve got to do things out of the ordinary. Get out. Meet people!

The exhibition season is upon us. This is how to maximise your results from any exhibit you hold!

Make them come!

First things first. The invites. For an intimate event, mail something fancy. For a VIP look, your invites should match the experience. Opt for Opuleaf gold or silver foil or StarMarque spot gloss highlights to impress. For a larger event, leaflets inserted into the local paper or pushed through letterboxes will be appropriate.

Be a social butterfly. Multiply your message by posting the event on social media. Get people interested and build the buzz.

Create a bit of a spectacle!

We’re all a bit nosey. Make guests feel privileged to be invited and make passersby wonder what they’re missing out on.

Block out your windows with fabric and “closed for VIP event” posters. Stick a pair of flags either side of your door. Put some dramatic lighting outside. Turn up the tunes. Get them excited upon arrival.

Create a unique environment!

Turning over a new leaf – Redesigning Solicitors Website

Do I Need a New Website?

In this blog, we will be looking to save you money! Websites are almost a necessity in today’s society with upward growing trends of online shopping and browsing, demand for businesses to have a strong online presence has never been stronger!

What is deemed a good website is constantly changing as new web design trends develop so should your website alongside them! This ensures your website works effectively towards your desired outcome! This doesn’t mean having a new website every year which would be a costly experience. Instead, with the WordPress platform, we are able to redesign your site to keep it up to trend with a professional new look for a margin of the cost.

A new looking site need not cost you thousands!

New Leaf Solicitors

We were approached by New Leaf Solicitors to make some changes to their website which we created for them previously. They felt like it needed refreshing and tweaking to look up to date with the current industry trends!

Original Site:

Their previous site was working for them at the time. It met the industry standard having fixed width. Utilising the Revolution sliders at the top of the web page to create a carousel of images and text for the user to view or click through to the relevant section! It was a clear and concise site!

Issues highlighted with the old site:

Be A Big Fat Brand Strawberry – Get Picked!

It’s June 2017 (Already) and that means another new and exciting offer of the month! This month we are focusing on all things branding and helping you to develop as companies. It’s all about making the right first impressions and that’s where we come in!

Be a great big brand strawberry!

Why are strawberries red? And what the pip has that got to do with marketing? Bear with me on this!

Birds know that red berries are the ripest and tastiest. Strawberries have evolved to advertise their tastiness by changing colour to an intense red. What’s in it for them? Birds eat the fruit, can’t digest the seeds and scatter them around the area.

This made us think. We’re all in business to attract attention and get picked. Right? The trick is making sure it’s YOU that customers want to pick.

This is not the time to be shy!

Your logo is a visual shortcut which reminds people who you are!

We design corporate identities for businesses just like yours every day! Let’s think how many times your logo will be seen? Are you proud of it?

You should be proud of your logo. Liberally plaster it everywhere! You’ll definitely use it on your website, Business cards, Business stationary! What about your brochures, folders and price lists?

It may even be on your vehicles or your clothing and don’t forget your signage!

Just how many times will this logo be seen? How many people drive past your premises each hour? What hits are you getting on your site? Your logo could be

7 Design Requests To Make Creatives Cringe!

Working in a design studio we sometimes get asked to produce something that makes our creative mojo die a little inside. The job of a Designer or Developer is to educate the client to ensure that what they are asking for is really going to help achieve the objectives they have in mind!

In this blog, we have pooled together some common misconceptions or errors that customers request that hinders their chances at marketing success.

To avoid facing these issues take note of the following to really get the best quality, whether it be a simple business card or a piece of sales literature with a clear focus on acquiring new customers!

1. Can I Have Music Playing On The landing page?

The issue with having music playing on the landing page is that this can be very distracting to a potential customer. The website viewer may already have music playing, this will instantly make them want to get off your web page as soon as possible! It’ll be a shock to certain users who are unsure of where the music is coming from and may have the volume turned up high! It’s unprofessional and doesn’t provide the right message to the target markets! If you need to display some sort of music on your home page the best method is to not have it ‘autoplay’ simply give the user the ability to control the music!

2. Providing The Right Product For The Purpose!

Sometimes people get their heads set on a certain media type. Whether it
